Bride to Be  

It is so hard to be a bride and trust someone with your special day. I remember the day I walked into the Emerald House and met with Phil; immediately I had a good feeling and knew that this would be the perfect place for our special day. I was looking for a venue where we could get married and have the reception immediately following. I didn’t want our guests to feel ignored between the events. We also had a lot of family coming from out of town and I did not want them to have to drive all over an unfamiliar place.

At first, I was concerned as I didn’t feel like much was getting accomplished. I was even worried a few weeks before the wedding that the chapel was not going to be what I wanted it to be. Phil and Dana kept saying they wanted to “Wow” me the day of my wedding and I can truly say that they got that accomplished. I never thought that the chapel could look so beautiful. Everything was beautiful, down to my dressing room!

My mother, entire family and a lot of my friends are from out of town as was my husbands. Therefore, I didn’t have a lot of help with planning our wedding day. Once I chose the Emerald house, I was able to talk to Phil and he helped me plan. Eventually I met Dana, who was my wedding planner. I talked to her often; she was great and helped me plan everything. Dana and Phil helped me do things that they did not have to and things that were not in our “contract”. The Emerald House took care of everything. I only made some decisions, took care of the dresses, programs, officiate, unity candle, hotel reservations and invitations.

I have already recommended people to get married and have their reception at the Emerald House and I will continue to do so. I did not write this testimonial because I was asked. I wrote it because I believe in Phil, Dana and the Emerald House. I grew to care about them during our planning process and still talk to them to this day. I knew that it was not about the money, but that it was about making sure that I was happy and our special day was special. They truly care about the people that they work with, which is rare to find. I just hope that other people are able to have the experience that I was able to have because of them.
